School - Club link programme: 2008/2009
As part of the Football Association’s Development Programme, the establishment of effective school club links has been highlighted as an essential part of developing playing opportunities for young players.
Allowing children to experience the game at a young age, in a safe learning environment is a key part of developing the next generation of players.
With this in mind Northumberland FA and Tyne & Wear Sport, have implemented a link with local schools in the East End of Newcastle, and NEE Juniors, an FA Charter Standard Development club, to 'aid the development of the female game within Newcastle' At present women and girls football is the fastest growing sport within the country.
This opportunity provides a FREE 4 week coaching course at Blue Flames Sporting Club. The sessions will take place on Thursday evenings 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd October, 4pm – 5pm and will be delivered by FA qualified CRB checked coaches from the club already highlighted, as well as Tyne & Wear Sports Community Coaches.
If your daughter is already a member of a club, they are still welcome to attend the sessions however please note, these places are restricted to local schools who have received letters direct from the Northumberland FA Football Development Officer, Ian Skinner
Newcastle East End Girls operate at Under 10, Under 12 & Under 16 level, with training taking place on Thursdays from 6.15-7.30pm
